Patrick Hiebert

Chief Executive Officer / Chairman of the Board

  • Patrick Hiebert is the CEO of Autris, the creators of the freedom, sustainability and Bitcoin centered Veritas Villages throughout Latin America. A seasoned entrepreneur, Patrick previously founded and sold multiple high-tech software companies before shifting his focus to creating a more independent way of living.

    After spending several years sailing the ocean with his son and living fully off-grid, generating their own power and water, Patrick developed a deep understanding of self-sufficient living and resilient design. He later brought these principles to land, creating the first off-grid luxury communities in the region.

    Autris is the creator of the F.I.R.S.T. philosophy, which stands for Freedom, Independence, Resilience, Sustainability and Transparency. Through Patrick’s leadership, the Autris group of companies and the Veritas Villages continue to grow as the leaders in forward-thinking community development, helping people create a life with more freedom, security and long-term sustainability.

Spencer Hiebert

Chief Design Officer / Board Member

  • Spencer Hiebert is a Co-Founder and the Chief Design Officer (CDO) of Veritas Villages, a freedom and sustainable community development company.

    After growing up sailing and living on boats with his father Patrick, Spencer developed a passion for sailing, and the sustainable lifestyles that come with it. Spencer would go on to later living on his own sailboat while working in the Marine Industry in Canada, and between that and assisting his father on his off grid projects in Nicaragua, Spencer gained immense hands on experience working with alternative energy systems and self sustainability concepts. The combination of this experience and actually living the lifestyle created a very effective knowledge base for what was to come.

    In 2019 when COVID hit, Spencer found himself in Belize while the initial lockdowns were happening. The lockdowns were really the catalyst for Spencer to begin to design communities of off-grid freedom oriented living and self sustainability oriented homes.

    The team was put together and work started on designing the communities that would eventually be known as the Veritas Villages.

    Since that time, Spencer and the Veritas Villages team have designed many communities with homes that support a large variety of lifestyles. From true off-grid tiny homes, to full sized luxury homes and condos that still put an emphasis on self sustainability oriented living.

Erik Vik

Chief Operations Officer / Board Member

  • Mr. Vik is a professional engineer with over 24 years of experience in engineering, procurement, construction, oil and gas exploration, economic evaluation, and acquisitions/divestitures.

    Erik shares the freedom and self reliance oriented philosophy of Veritas Villages and is excited to be part of creating communities that hold these values.

    As VP of Engineering for Tamboran Resources Ltd., a private Australian gas explorer and developer, he assisted in the public listing process, assembled and supervised international technical, environmental, regulatory and security teams in Northern Ireland and Australia. He provided oversight for the HSE system, AFE’s, tenders, awards, regulatory & environmental applications, contracting, procurement, and drilling/completions programs. Additionally, he created and maintained development plans, investor presentations and budgets for the corporation.

    Erik is the perfect person to lead the Operations of Veritas Villages and ensure our attention to detail that is required to provide luxury homes and communities for our residents.

    Erik is pleased to be a part of the team where there is an emphasis on continual improvement and an objective of being the best at what we do for ourselves and customers.

Don Morrison

Chief Financial Officer / Board Member

  • As CFO, Mr. Morrison brings nearly 40 years of business experience and financial acumen to the company. Together with his expertise in finance, Don lives Veritas Villages’ philosophy of freedom and sustainability every day as a resident of one of our newest up and coming communities.

    Don is a Canadian who has founded, successfully grown and sold companies in the hospitality space and been very active in public offerings and all the detailed financial reporting that goes along with being a public company.

    Veritas Villages is honored to have Don at the helm of the financial department of the company with his rare mix of loving the numbers but also having avid interest in food forests and self sustainability.

Mikkel Thorup

Board Member

  • Autris is honored to have Mikkel Thorup as a member of our Board of Directors. Mr. Thorup is one of the world’s most sought-after expat consultants. He focuses on helping high-net-worth private clients to legally mitigate tax liabilities, obtain a second residency and citizenship, and assemble a portfolio of foreign investments, including international real estate, agroforestry plantations and other hard-money tangible assets.

    Mikkel is the Founder and CEO at Expat Money®, a private consulting firm and he is also a Best Selling author.

    Mikkel brings his vast experience into play helping advise Veritas Villages on what freedom oriented people are looking for in the communities they wish to live in and puts his money where his mouth is himself as a investor in and resident of Veritas Villages communities.

Alex Voss

Chief Investment Officer & Head of Bitcoin Strategy / Board Member

  • Alexander Voss is a finance executive specializing in Bitcoin-native treasury strategy, real estate development, and the creation of next-generation economic zones. As CIO and Head of Bitcoin Strategy at Autris, he leads the company’s investment framework, capital allocation, capital markets initiatives, and long-term efforts to accumulate hard assets and sound money. 

    Alex has worked across the globe—spanning North America, Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, the UK and Southeast Asia—structuring capital raises, concession frameworks, and project finance for emerging cities and private sector–led economic development. His financial experience spans from being a CFO, investment banker, and asset manager. 

    He began his career in institutional finance before moving into the intersection of Bitcoin, governance innovation, and real-asset development. Alexander holds degrees from the University of Chicago and the University of Notre Dame and maintains advanced professional designations including CFA, FRM, CAIA, CMA, and FDP.

    Alex is thrilled to support the excellent work Autris is doing to build first class, self-sustaining communities for the people that need them most. 

Titus Gebel

Advisor to the Board

  • Titus Gebel is a distinguished German entrepreneur and internationally recognized legal expert with a focus on innovative governance systems. He co-founded and served as CEO of the resource company Deutsche Rohstoff AG until 2014, successfully leading the company to a listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Holding a PhD in international law from the University of Heidelberg, Dr. Gebel has a strong foundation in complex legal and commercial frameworks, having previously worked in the biotechnology, venture capital, and commodities industries.

    Dr. Gebel is the creator and primary proponent of the concept of "Free Private Cities," which envisions a private company offering protection of life, liberty, and property as a "government service provider" based on a contractually fixed agreement with residents. This radical concept is detailed in his 2018 book, Free Private Cities: Making Governments Compete For You. He currently serves as the Founder and CEO of Tipolis and the President of the Free Cities Foundation, actively working to negotiate and establish these competitive governance zones around the world, building on his previous experience as Chief Legal Officer for Honduras Próspera Inc.
